Today is the day to pretend like the paparazzi are shooting you.

Dr. Luvvie Smalls is in tomorrow. Have you sent her your question about love/sex/the opposite sex?

Hey, check out this oldie but goodie (and this awesome new site.

Yesterday I had a unique experience wherein I was allowed to tag along to the first day of high school at a Chicago Public School, for a freelance assignment I am working on. Since I haven’t been in a high school since the incident of 1997 (known as “Claire’s last day of high school”), I was curious to see how the children and schools have changed since the ‘90’s. Here’s what I found:

Metal detectors at school entrances to check for weapons and whether you are noble of heart.

These newfangled things called “computers.”

The TI-84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculator, only marginally cooler than the T.I. 80 of my olden days.

The children of the future and their children (and their children’s children.)

A whole lotta school spirit! And condoms!

That’s all.
