Today is the day to accuse somebody of taking vitamin supplements.

Have you ever rented a movie from Netflix and let it sit around, not watching it, taking weeks and weeks before you felt it was time to send it back unwatched? I did, recently, and so have many people I've spoken with. Email me your story of Notflixing: I'll share them all on Wednesday, and maybe we can open up a "Zulkey.com film forum," using technology that's approximately 10 years old!

I consider myself a media watcher. OK, that's a lie. But I do have to read media news every now and then for my job, and one story that comes up a lot is whether newspapers are going to be obsolete with the growing popularity of news that breaks online.

Mendacity! There is no way the mighty newspaper can be replaced! For an example, please see this in-depth story in the Chicago Tribune about the popularity of the baseball hat (ironically presented to you online.) Would the stupid internet take the time to alert you to such cutting-edge fashion! No! They're too busy making fun of celebrities and trying to help you lose weight and posting pictures of celebrity babies.

Thankfully due to that story, I know now that baseball caps are sometimes sported 'off the field'! And, apparently, people purchase baseball caps to show their allegiance to a particular sporting squadron (although not always.) Interesting.

I had most recently been blown away by the story in the Washington Post about 'wing-men', but I'm proud to see that the mantle of good reporting has been brought back to my home town.

I'm hoping the Trib can cover some other topics that I've been noticing might be 'hot'--for instance, have you noticed that blue jeans are being worn now more than just in the coal mines? That teen-agers seem to have a point of view in addition to adults? That people like cell phones? That there are more area codes than ever? That it's hot during the summer and you should avoid dying of heat?

Regardless, Chicago Tribune, please jump on these timely stories before the Internet does--and you will be guaranteed a spot in cultural relevance forever!
