Today is the day to say nice things about the police.
Hey: I recommend you check out a copy of David Gianatasio's book Swift Kicks, published by So New Media. I wrote a very silly introduction to it.
I promise I'll never write two baseball-related posts in a row
until at least the postseason. But meanwhile...
The White Sox are back in first place (tied with Cleveland), but this is no time for celebration. Many players on the teams are going to be forced to cut their hair, based on club regulations. That means you will have to say goodbye to these lovely long locks:

I think this is a good idea for Joe Crede and AJ Pierzynski. (Bottom). I don't mind Freddy Garcia's and Neal Cotts' (top.) Oscar Gamble, in the middle, can look however he wants.
Maybe Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf should loosen up, though. It could be so much worse:
